Preventive healthcare and health engineering, a local hub

Saint-Étienne is home to more than 100 medical device companies, employing a total workforce of 3,000. No less than 60% of French medical textiles are produced in the metropolitan area of Saint-Étienne. Three leading global companies have long been established here: Gibaud, Sigvaris and Thuasne.
